Astral Announces Quebec Winners of the 2018 CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES Competition

Astral, a division of Bell Media, announced the winners of the CARTE BLANCHE FOR CREATIVES competition for the Québec market earlier tonight. Launched in March, the ninth edition of the annual competition drew a record-breaking 325 submissions from across the country, including 188 from the Québec market – up nearly 20% and 25% respectively.

This year, a national jury composed of six prominent creative directors from the advertising industry had the difficult task to shortlist the Top 25 entries and then deliberate to determine the winners for each market.

“We enjoy the privileged relationship we have with the creative community, which lets us evolve the Carte Blanche contest every year,” said Chloé Boissonnault, General Manager, Communications and Marketing, Bell Media Sales. “This allows us to better adapt the contest to the industry’s reality and work with creatives to turn their big ideas into reality. We’re very proud of this record-breaking 9th edition of Carte Blanche and the group of professionals we assembled for our first-ever national jury. Astral sees creativity as a catalyst for opportunity, and it remains one of our core values – as demonstrated once again by the quantity and quality of this year’s Carte Blanche entries.”

This year’s edition of Carte Blanche introduced the Trucker’s Choice Award, where a jury of three, real-life truck drivers have chosen their favourite entry from all the concepts received in each market.
