Audition Workshop with Stuart Aikins

Widely regarded as one of Canada’s top Casting Directors, Stuart has worked with such motion picture directors as Clint Eastwood, Ed Zwick, Francis Ford Copella and Jon Favreau. He was the recipient of an Emmy Nomination and a Casting Society of America Award for his work on the mini-series Traffic. Stuart has cast hundreds of film and television productions including Twilight, Unforgiven, Seven Years in Tibet, Cool Runnings, Stargate and Continuum.

(100% of the proceeds from this workshop go to funding a theatre production of Bug by Tracy Letts, all participants will receive 1 free ticket to the show)

Minimum Age:  16+

This full-day workshop will begin with Stuart discussing the audition process – how to break down the script, analyze a scene, approach the character and make clear choices. The insight and perspective gained from this discussion will then be applied practically, with each actor being assigned a scene to work on with Stuart. All participants will then audition with their scenes on camera in a simulated audition environment with Stuart offering feedback and notes. The day will wrap up with a Q&A session. All participants will receive private links to the video of their auditions.
