Shailyn Pierre-Dixon is not your average Caledon teen.
After more than a week of negotiations with mom and manager, Christina Dixon, The Enterprise managed to snag a few minutes of the young teen’s time between premieres, TV interviews and travelling to and from jobs to sit down and chat about her role in the recently released blockbuster film, Suicide Squad.
While the film has received some negative reviews and a quick drop-off at the box office, Pierre-Dixon is still revelling in the experience of sharing the big screen with some of Hollywood’s biggest names.
“I try to stay away from negative commentary,” she told The Enterprise. “It hasn’t changed what I think about the movie. I loved it and I just try my best to not pay attention to the negativity.”
With the positive outlook and resume of an actor years her senior, Pierre-Dixon added that the experience of working with the likes of Will Smith and Margot Robbie was ‘absolutely amazing.’
