Singer-songwriter Jann Arden will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame this year. In a recent announcement, the 57-year-old will join the likes of other star performers such as Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain and The Tragically Hip.

Arden, alongside her biggest 1994 hits “Could I Be Your Girl” and “Insensitive”, stars in a self-titled show, Jann, on CTV. In May 2019, she tweeted that she’d “rather see people smoke weed than drink alcohol.” She wrote, “I’ve ever heard of too many folks brawling or fighting or kicking each other’s asses high.”
