Well Coroner, we need to talk about Kelly. In an episode that was full of twists and turns, the CBC drama revealed the truth this week behind who this woman that Jenny (Serinda Swan) had let into her house truly is. Kelly (Nicola Correia-Damude) for sure is not just the grieving woman viewers met back in the Season 2 premiere episode. As things would turn out, she’s not only so much more, but also so much more dangerous than anyone could have predicted.
Thanks to her season-long struggle with sleepwalking, Jenny found herself questioning whether or not she accidentally messed with Gordon’s (Nicholas Campbell) medication enough that he landed in the hospital. However, it soon became clear that Kelly had been lying to her all along and was responsible for some dangerous behavior. Elsewhere, Mac (Roger Cross) learned that Noor (Olunike Adeliyi) had some secrets of her own that she’s been keeping and actually married to a man who is currently not in the country. But that wasn’t Noor’s only secret, as Mac saw her exit Kelly’s car at the end of the episode.
This wild penultimate episode of Season 2, “Monster in the House,” was written by Noelle Carbone and directed by Adrienne Mitchell. Carbone, who also writes for Wynonna Earp, joined The TV Junkies to break down all of the exciting happenings in this week’s installment. She also shares why she loves working in Coroner’s diverse writing room, and what makes that experience truly special.
The TV Junkies: I don’t want to start at the end, but how can we not? Noor was with Kelly? What is happening?
Noelle Carbone: I can’t really tell you and give anything away, but were you surprised when you saw it was Noor?
