For Edmontonian Brian Christensen, touring with the Queen musical We Will Rock You has been a bit like running away to join a circus.
“I’ve spent a long time on the road going to places I’d never imagined I would ever see,” says Christensen, referring to the 59 cities the show hit on the first leg of its six-month North American tour.
This version of We Will Rock You is the touring production of the jukebox musical created by Jeff Parry’s Annerin Productions in Calgary this past summer. It began its tour in Winnipeg on Sept. 3 before touring in the US. It returned to Canada for performances in Windsor and has been on a hiatus since Dec. 1. It begins the second leg of its tour with performances in Calgary on Dec. 27 to 29 and at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton on Dec. 30 and 31.
