On the next episode of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, airing at a special time of 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, teams race to Revelstoke, B.C. where some wipe out and others find themselves halted on the track to the pit stop

On last night’s episode of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, Jet and Dave, best friends and Canada’s Choice from London, Ont., were eliminated after they got turned around and became lost between challenges. Now, nine teams remain on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, returning with an all-new episode at a special time Tuesday, July 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, and streaming anytime on and the CTV app.

On tonight’s Season 7 premiere, 10 teams gathered in downtown Toronto for a starting-line footrace to pick up their bags and collect their first clue. Racers were directed to Extreme Reach Recording Studio, where one team member had to match the trailer dialogue for Walt Disney Studios’ highly anticipated The Lion King.

Teams then raced to the Ontario Food Terminal to search for two halves of a postcard revealing their next destination: Kamloops, B.C. Upon landing in Kamloops, teams headed to the dormant Ajax Copper Mine where one racer from each team had to zip line across the mine and drop a ball in a target in the body of water below. The next stop was Circle Creek Ranch where teams searched a herd of 30 yearlings for their next destination, which was tagged on one of the cow’s ears.

Host Jon Montgomery met teams at the Kamloops Bike Ranch for the season’s first Pit Stop. Dave and Irina were first to the mat, winning a trip to South Africa and two express passes – one to keep and one that they must give away by the third leg of the race. After getting lost on their way to the Circle Creek Ranch, Jet and Dave were unable to recoup enough time and arrived last on the mat. As a result, they are the first team eliminated from the race.

On the next episode of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, “Our Competition’s Not That Smart” (at a special time Tuesday, July 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, and streaming anytime on and the CTV app), teams head to Revelstoke, B.C. where a roadblock kicks the competition into high gear, as some racers wipeout and others find themselves halted on the track to the pit stop.

  • Aarthy and Thinesh – dating couple from Vancouver
