This year's show is set to be one of the most impressive yet, with new awards categories, superstar talent, a performance lineup featuring the biggest artists in music today, as well as an exciting roster of musicians that are about to break.

The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs are coming to celebrate the end of summer with the hottest night in music and entertainment. For nearly 30 years, the industry’s biggest stars have descended onto the streets of Toronto for the annual awards show, including memorable performances from Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and many more.

This year’s show is set to be one of the most impressive yet, with new awards categories, superstar talent, a performance lineup featuring the biggest artists in music today, as well as an exciting roster of musicians that are about to break. That’s right, you saw them here first.

Internet-famed rapper and actress Awkwafina will host this year’s event, alongside etalk host and former Much VJ, Tyrone Edwards. Holding it down before the awards kick off is Chloe Wilde and Patrick Langlois, who are returning to cover the red carpet.

The presenters are, naturally, A-list, and the performances will be equally groundbreaking. It’s safe to say this party will be epic. Here’s everything you need to know about—and how you can be a part of—the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs.

The iHeartRadio MMVAs always have the most iconic performers lined up for the show and this year’s talent is no different.

Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, heartthrob Shawn Mendes, Halsey, 5 Seconds of Summer, pop superstar Meghan Trainor, rapper Kris Wu, and electronic DJ Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie will all be taking the stage at the biggest party of the year. Also in attendance will be boy band 98 Degrees, elctro-pop singer bülow, and Best New Canadian Artist nominees The Beaches. Making their iHeartRadio MMVAs debut are pop superstar Bebe Rexha and Canadian country singer Brett Kissel.

In addition to some of the music industry’s biggest artists, the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs  features a dazzling lineup of celebrity presenters.

This year’s presenters currently include Tyra Banks, Derek Hough, Jersey Shore’s Jenni ‘JWOWW’ Farley, Prince Michael Jackson, and Star Trek: Discovery’s Sonequa Martin-Green. Skiier and Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy will be there, fashion designer and Very Cavallari star Kristin Cavallari will take the stage, as well as Arrow actor Colton Haynes. Love, Simon and X-Men actor Alexandra Shipp, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross, plus This Is Us star Chrissy Metz are all set to present awards at this year’s show.

The iHeartRadio MMVAs is a party you don’t want to miss. Fans who registered for a wristband online by the August 2 deadline will get to enjoy easy access to all of the stars walking the red carpet as well as the chart-topping performances happening on the main stage.

For those who didn’t make the wristband deadline, fear not. There are other ways to avoid the FOMO and get in on the iHeartRadio MMVAs action like being apart of either the red carpet or Queen Street audience or by winning your way in.

If you want to see your screaming face in the background of every paparazzi photo then the iHeartRadio MMVAs red carpet is the place to be. Fans 14 years and older can line up at the northwest corner of Richmond and John Street at 12 p.m. ET on August 26 to fill the bleachers that line the red carpet. You never know, you might come home with a few selfies smiling alongside your favourite celebrity

The bleachers are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so you’ll want to be there at noon sharp. While wristbands aren’t a requirement, keep in mind there are no “in and out” privileges for the red carpet audience.

At the iHeartRadio MMVAs, the audience is the priority. For those looking to get an up close view of their favourite presenters or to see some of the music industry’s biggest artists, fans of all ages can line up at the northwest corner of Queen and John Streets starting at 12 p.m. ET on August 26 to get a coveted spot in the audience. The Queen Street audience will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, no wristband needed.

Didn’t get a chance to get a wristband? No problem. Coca-Cola and Virgin Mobile both have ways you can enter to win an exclusive VIP experience to this year’s iHeartRadio MMVAs with contests they’ve set up just for the fans.
