An Alliston girl whose songs have racked up millions of views on YouTube over the past few years is about to show the world another one of her talents.

Jadyn Rylee, 13, spent the summer in Winnipeg filming scenes for the upcoming Sean Penn-directed film Flag Day, a drama based on Jennifer Vogel’s memoir Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father’s Counterfeit Life.

In the movie set to debut in fall 2020, Rylee plays the tween role of Jennifer, whose father John Vogel, played by Penn, lives a double life as a con man.

Penn’s children Dylan and Hopper also appear in the film, along with an all-star cast that includes Josh Brolin, Miles Teller and Katheryn Winnick.
