On July 11th the celeb-beloved, L.A.-based brand cut the ribbon on its first store outside of the U.S.

You know a Ref girl when you see one. Probably she’s wearing a floral print and at least one piece in her outfit is linen. That wicker bag she’s carrying is *vintage*, thanks for asking. She gets everywhere by bicycle and somehow never has a bad hair day despite always wearing a helmet. In short, her personal vibe is synonymous with California: sunny, laidback, striving to be sustainable and just a little bit provocative.

It’s also enviable to the max. I mean, who doesn’t want to look like Zoë Kravitz as 2019 Anne of Green Gables on a coffee run (reusable mug in tow, obv)? Certainly, tons of celebs do—which is why the brand counts the likes of Ashley Graham, Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner as fans. Lucky for us Canadians dreaming of that coastal life, we can now shop Reformation easier than ever thanks to a new brick-and-mortar store opening in Toronto this month.

Earlier this spring, the brand flew us out to L.A. to check out their sustainable shoe launch, where we got the hush-hush details on their international expansion. “We wanted to build a space where our Canadian customers can come in and experience the brand firsthand,” Ref founder Yael Aflalo told us. “There is something nice about heading in store and trying things on IRL.”
