The “24” actor will star in a series remake of the 1993 Harrison Ford movie “The Fugitive,” which has been given the greenlight at Quibi.

KIEFER SUTHERLAND & BOYD HOLBROOK TO STAR IN ‘THE FUGITIVE’ FOR QUIBI
Kiefer Sutherland and Boyd Holbrook are set to star in Quibi’s The Fugitive, a new take on the 1993 Harrison Ford film which was based on the 1960s TV series of the same name, from Scorpion creator Nick Santora, Thunder Road Films, 3 Arts Entertainment and Warner Bros. TV. Additionally, Stephen Hopkins (24, The Dark Tower) has been tapped to direct the project, and will also serve as an executive producer. Production is set to begin in mid-October. READ MORE

Kiefer Sutherland is heading to Quibi.

The “24” actor will star in a series remake of the 1993 Harrison Ford movie “The Fugitive,” which has been given the greenlight at Quibi.

Sutherland will play legendary Detective Clay Bryce who is trying to apprehend Mike Ferro, played by Boyd Holbrook. Stephen Hopkins, who previously worked with Sutherland on “24,” has been tapped to direct the project and will also serve as an executive producer. READ MORE

Kiefer Sutherland‘s next case will likely take him more than 24 hours to crack. The small-screen action hero has been tapped to star in Quibi’s reboot of The Fugitive, TVLine has confirmed.

The reboot’s official logline is as follows: “When a bomb rips through the Los Angeles subway train he’s riding on, blue-collar Mike Ferro just wants to make sure his wife, Allison, and 10-year-old daughter, Pearl, are safe. But the faulty evidence on the ground and “tweet-now, confirm-later” journalism paint a nightmarish picture: it looks to all the world that Mike was responsible for the heinous act. KIEFER SUTHERLAND JOINS QUIBI’S ‘THE FUGITIVE’ ADAPTATION
“Logan” star Boyd Holbrook also joins the cast as a man that is incorrectly blamed for subway bombing

Kiefer Sutherland is joining Quibi’s adaptation of “The Fugitive,” the upcoming mobile-only streaming service shared on Tuesday.

Quibi, founded by Jeffrey Katzenberg and led by CEO Meg Whitman, also said “Logan” star Boyd Holbrook had joined the cast. The series — putting a new twist on the 1993 film of the same name starring Harrison Ford — is set to go into production in October.

Sutherland will star as a grizzled, well-respected Los Angeles cop leading an investigation into Mike Ferro (Holbrook), a blue-collar worker who is incorrectly, and very publicly, blamed for a bomb that destroys a subway train. READ MORE
