NETFLIX HAS PICKED UP CATHERINE REITMAN’S SITCOM ‘WORKIN’ MOMS’ FOR U.S.

The mommy comedy, now in its third season, is created by and stars the daughter of Hollywood director Ivan Reitman.

Netflix has picked up the Canadian mommy-comedy sitcom Workin’ Moms by Black-ish star Catherine Reitman for territories outside of Canada including the U.S.

The daughter of Hollywood director Ivan Reitman writes, directs and stars in the the sitcom that has aired on the CBC network in Canada since Jan. 2017. “Workin’ Moms later this winter is officially coming to the United States, along with the rest of the work, as a Netflix original,” Reitman announced Thursday via video on her Twitter account.

The Canadian comedy, the third season of which debuts tonight on the CBC, is based on Reitman’s own life as a working mother.
