This weekend Idris Elba married Canadian model Sabrina Dhowre in a glamorous three-day event in Morocco, but there were two guests that were unable to attend.
Despite the actor and the Canadian model attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last May where Elba even DJ’d the reception, the couple couldn’t make the trip to Morocco seeing as the Duchess is due with their first child any day.
So what type of wedding gift do you send a couple who likely has everything they need anyway? How about a piece of artwork that retails for around $9,000?
The Mail On Sunday reported that Harry and Meghan picked out the painting from the Connor Brothers that has the caption, “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”

NEW PRINT RELEASE TODAY – Following our visit from amazing nine year old artist Belle Curran last week we have just released this image as a print. Belle suffers from interstitial lung disease. and needs a lung transplant. She is raising awareness about organ donation, and funds for the various charities that have helped her. The print is from a limited edition of 12, and all of the proceeds will be going to the charities that have supported Belle. The quote we have chosen comes from the children's author Dr Seuss. We would be grateful for anyone who follows the link in our bio, and makes a donation. The print is available now through our website. please note that the prints will take up to 21 days for delivery
The Connor Brothers broke onto the art scene by introducing themselves as Franklyn and Brendan Connor, two American twins who were raised in an extremist Christian cult.
This fact later turned out to be a hoax and the boys are actually British artists James Golding and Mike Snelle.
The royal duo certainly missed out on the event at the Ksar Char-Bagh hotel on Friday where Dhowre picked out two Vera Wang gowns for the occasion. Diana Ross is also reported to have flown in to serenade the couple.

Make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury, who both Kate Middleton and Meghan are a fan of, did the bride’s make-up while photos were taken by celebrity photographer Sean Thomas that were then shared by Vogue.
The night before, guests were invited to a “colours of souk” dinner at the five-star Amanjena resort. And on Saturday, celebrations wrapped up with an all-white party at the Mandarin Oriental.
