Two weeks after sweeping the comedy field at the Emmys, Schitt’s Creek moved to the top of Nielsen’s streaming rankings.
The CBC/Pop TV comedy jumped up to first place on the streaming chart for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4, which coincided with the show’s sixth and final season hitting Netflix on Oct. 3. Netflix users in the United States watched 968 million minutes of Schitt’s Creek during the week. It had ranked fifth the previous week.
The prior week’s two top performers, Ratched and Enola Holmes, remained in the top 10 but suffered sizable dropoffs in viewing time. The eight-episode Ratched, executive produced by Ryan Murphy, fell to fifth place with 791 million minutes of viewing time, down 51.5 percent from the past week’s 1.63 billion minutes. Feature film Enola Holmes also saw its viewing time cut in half, from 1.17 billion to 573 million minutes.
